Kindergarten Clix: Field Trip Day

Field Trip Day

We've been learning about nutrition and places in our community, so today we visited our local Giant grocery store for a tour. We enjoyed hearing, seeing, and tasting several foods that are prepared and sold. We even got to pet a live lobster and stand in the freezer where food is stored! Best of all, we received a grocery bag filled with goodies to remember our time.

Math: subtraction; reading clock time to the minute; whole and halves, measureing inches with rulers, counting and printing 0-100; skip counting by 2s, 5s, 10s and 25s, odd and even numbers, reading number words; adding coins
Bible: reviewing Bible stories and verses from this year
Verse: Joshua 1:8-9 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth. You shall meditate on it day and night. Be careful to do according to what it says. Then your way will be prosporous and you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not tremble or be afraid. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
